water is fundamentalOver the years, Clean Water Fund’s programs have grown to encompass a wide range of environmental and health concerns. But all of these issues and all of our work connect to clean, safe and affordable water. This remains the fundamental core of our work.
Our issues have never been more important than they are today. They cut across the entire spectrum of environmental concerns.
Pennsylvanians get their drinking water from our state's more than 83,000 miles of waterways, acres of lakes, reservoirs and wetlands, and a natural system of underground aquifers. Unfortunately, many of these vital water sources have been contaminated or are at risk of contamination. Despite their importance, drinking water sources receive no special protection from pollution and polluting activities in Pennsylvania! Without action, our drinking water sources are in danger.

Rally at the Capitol at noon!
Pennsylvania’s state legislature has still taken NO ACTION to protect residents from all the problems Marcellus Shale gas drilling is causing in our state. Contaminated drinking water, pollution in our rivers, hazardous air pollution, safety problems, and destruction of our state forests are just some of the problems.
Come to Harrisburg and SPEAK OUT! Let our legislators know that we need them to take action NOW.
You can help prevent pollution from Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling in your community!
Join Clean Water Action and other environmental organizations for an evening of visual assessment training. You'll get information on permit tracking and air and water pollution while learning about safety, how to use FracTracker, and how to file a complaint with DEP.
