Jamie began at Clean Water Action in 2006 in Allentown, Pennsylvania in the effort to defeat Rick Santorum, one of the League of Conservation Voters Dirty Dozen in 2006.
After this successful electoral campaign, Jamie found his calling as
the organization succeeded in curbing mercury emissions from coal-fired
power plants & opposed unjust landfill expansion in rural communities.
He moved to Providence in 2007 as the Canvass Director & enjoyed the
tireless work of the exciting 2008 election. He will earn his law
degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI in May 2012, & looks forward to continuing CWA's work in RI. Outside of the
office you will find him camping, gardening & playing Ultimate Frisbee
as often as possible, as well as enjoying the company of his wife & cats on Providence's West End.
Ellie joined Clean Water Action in February of 2011, and is focused on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Campaign, working with communities to build support for EPR legislation. You may have seen her around the Providence community on the Board of Directors for the Environmental Justice League of Rhode Island (EJLRI), directing the Community Environmental College (a joint effort of Brown University and the EJLRI), or serving as Community Garden Coordinator at the UEL Garden. She graduated from Brown University's Masters of Environmental Studies program in 2010, and lives in Sharon, MA with her wife, dog, and many bees.
Jessica first started working for Clean Water Action during her freshman
year of college in February 2007. She worked as a canvasser, trainer

After taking time off to own her own business, she re-joined CWA in the summer of 2011. She also continues the community activism she's long been engaged in locally: she is a member of the Newport Energy and Environment Commission, is the Development Chair for the Alliance for Liveable Newport, and is a Board Member for the Point Association. She has one son, and loves living in Newport. She enjoys medieval history, independent filmmaking, studying Spanish, and keeping healthy.
For years, Mark longed to work for a cool, earth-saving, non-profit. In January 2011, Clean Water Action gave him the opportunity to make his dreams come true. Now he gets to recruit an army of peaceful warriors that will help save the world. He's also helping cut diesel emissions by implementing key policy throughout the state. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Jeopardy!, reading non-fiction, and acting in the occasional play. A Providence native, Mark lives in Elmwood with his folk-singer girlfriend and their awesome kids.
