John is Clean Water Action's National Oil & Gas Programs Director. John joined the organization in June 2014. He has since led campaigns on oil and gas wastewater disposal, investigated and exposed fracking and drinking water oversight failures, and researched the impacts of oil and gas industry money in politics. Prior to coming to Clean Water Action, John worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Office of Water on drinking water issues including the Underground Injection Control Program and the Permitting Guidance for Hydraulic Fracturing Activities using Diesel Fuels. John received a master’s degree from American University’s School of International Service in Global Environmental Policy.
